Schenk's Chess.edge is a modular system developed specifically for inspecting the edges of glass sheets. The main task of the system is detecting defects that can occur during:
- edge grinding and corner cutting of bare glass e.g. for the production of flat panel displays
- glass processing e.g. for solar glass production

- Edge chips: chipped material
- Edge cracks: small cracks at the edges
- Bevel defects: Insufficient bevel chattering-like appearance of edge
- Glass defects: Surface and volume defects in edge area
High Precision Measurement and evaluation of physical properties of the panel
- Corner cut dimensions (optional)
- Edge condition
